Blossoming Cherry Trees

Sakai Hōitsu 酒井抱一
Color painting formed from a pair of screens arranged horizontally side-by-side, each with six, narrow vertical panels, of two trees with white blossoms and reddish leaves, one on each side, with the upper parts of the trees cropped out of frame. The background is solid gold, except a band of solid silver along the lower register.
