Fish Head

Nagasawa Rosetsu 長沢芦雪
Narrow, horizontal format ink painting of a sea creature's head and upper body in profile, facing to the left, entering the image from the upper right. The creature is formed from an inky wash, with one visible eye, and several pointed teeth, with one fin visible on the lower part. A thin, rectangular border of textile in two layers surrounds the image on all sides.
